Lucid Dreaming

We control our dream in a lucid dream. Pamela Hartmann explains lucid dreams and their technique. Lucid dream, which Fox discovered in 1902, means we are participating in our dreams. It was given special status in early Christianity and Buddhism. Stephen Laberge made the MILD technique, in which we wake up , we imagine the same dream and tell ourselves "next time, I can control the dream." This is a method that he developed. It gives us mental. When we wake up in the morning, we should not open our eyes, think about a specific image, recollect whatever events we experienced, and remember what it way. We open our eyes and record all those things. It changes our life patterns.

effects of supply and demand

The world is changing the effects of supply and demand. There are at least three reasons that the world has changed. First, people use more products. For example, china is developing rapidly those days. Chinese people spend to eat a lot of pork, so the pork price in the world have in creased. Second, the economic effect changes supply and demand. The Beijing Olympics finshed their events. The world economy has grown, so all countries have increased spending for products. Third, the world changes effects of oil shocks. When the U.S attacked Iraq, oil prices increased. All countries' economies had big damages because of all prices, spending, and increases for poor people. Now the world is changing in a variety effects. We should care about changes in the world effect our lives.

Different Commercials

The commercials provide a lot of information such as a nation is character and its culture. Each country has differences in advertising. There are differences between American and Korean advertisements that include difference in expression, differences in the level of sexual presentation, and in their competitive manner.

First, the American ads and the Korean ads have different kinds of expression. American ads are direct in expression, while Korean ads are indirect in expression. For example, in a “head on” ad, it is a treatment for when you have a bruise on your head. The scenes in the ad are repeated so much that it makes viewers remember the product for a long time. The Korean ads are indirect in expression. For example, one medicine ad displays ads that said, “If your child bruises their body, what medicine would you choose?” It makes customers think.

Second, the American ads and the Korean ads have differences in the level of sexual presentation. The American ads don’t care about the level of sexual content in their ads. For example, in the Snickers ad, the man is eating the Snickers. The other man is eating the man’ snickers and kissing. If the Korean company made the same ad, the government would stop it, because the sexual ads might have bad effects on children and young people.

Third, the American ads and the Korean ads have differences in their competitive manner. The American ads display the weakness of the competitor. Most political ads use this manner. For example, in an Obama election ad, it shows Hillary’s weaknesses. In a Hillary election ad, it also shows Obama’s weakness. The Korean ads can not do that, because the government controls them by stopping bad ads. If someone uses bad ads, they might pay a fine or go to jail.

The American ads and the Korean ads have different expressions, limits on expression, and difference in the level of sexual expression. If you are interested in American culture, you should watch TV commercials. It is the best way.

Can Graffiti be art?
If someone draws graffiti on your house wall, what do you feel? Some people regard graffiti as art but most people do not regard it as art or have a high regard of it. Graffiti can not be art. There are three reasons. First, illegal vandalism usually leads to other lawbreaking illegal. Second, graffiti gives people bad influence. Third, graffiti is a different way of art.

First, vandalism usually leads to other lawbreaking. Even though owners do not allow graffiti, people draw graffiti on public walls. Owners spend money to clean graffiti. Also, graffiti can lead to an increase of a crime rate. In research, Mexico gangs have used graffiti to mark their zone and make symbols. In addition, they hire young boys who draw graffiti very well. They tempt young boys with a lot of money, so some young boys work to get together gangs.

Second, graffiti gives people bad influence. The government spends a lot of money for cleaning graffiti. For example, according to San Diego city spends 1 million each year on graffiti. It is difficult for the city to control graffiti. Also, some vandals draw bad images. If children and young boys see bad images, their parents will be disappointed.

Finally, there are better kinds of art than graffiti. A cycle of art is short. Vandals find places in old walls. They have finished works and take pictures for the souvenirs. They should find another way such as drawing on canvases. Amateur vandals usually draw bad symbols. People are disgusted with graffiti.

These days, vandals are arrested by police because they break rules. They are worried about illegality, bad influences, or different kinds of art. It is a kind of crime! Therefore, graffiti can not be art.
